Recruitment Job Discovery

A profile-driven sourcing system that discovered current roles, extracted job details, matched opportunities to individual clients, and prepared recurring notifications.

Client
Independent Executive Search Consultancy
Scope
Build profile-driven job discovery, extraction, matching, and client notification workflows
Outcome
Repeatable delivery of individualized, current opportunities with less duplicate review

The sourcing model

The consultancy supported job seekers with different backgrounds, target roles, location requirements, compensation expectations, and industry preferences. A useful automation therefore had to do more than scrape a general job board.

Each search began with a structured client profile informed by an intake call, resume, prior communications, and the consultant’s notes. The profile captured both explicit requirements and the context needed to judge whether a role was worth presenting.

Discovery and extraction

The system generated individualized search criteria across applicant-tracking systems and job-board ecosystems. It collected current openings and extracted consistent details such as title, employer, location, work arrangement, description, source, posting date, and application link.

Board-specific URLs and fields were normalized before storage so alternate links, tracking parameters, and repeated search results did not create artificial duplicates.

The operating sequence translated intake notes and resumes into maintainable search profiles, generated source-specific queries using role, sector, location, remote, and recency criteria, and parsed each opening into a common record structure. Canonical links were checked against current and historical results before opportunities were scored or routed using the client profile and the consultant’s review rules.

Notification workflow

New and relevant results could be assembled into client-specific notifications instead of requiring the consultant to rebuild an update manually. The delivery layer preserved the source link and the details needed for a client to evaluate the opportunity.

The consultancy remained responsible for qualification and communication. Automation improved discovery, freshness, and consistency without turning job matching into unattended outreach.

Reliability and maintenance

Job sources change frequently, so source-specific handling was separated from the common profile, storage, and notification layers. One board could be repaired or replaced without rewriting the entire system.

Historical state helped prevent duplicate delivery, while profile versioning allowed the search to evolve as intake conversations and client priorities changed.

Outcome

The consultancy gained a repeatable sourcing pipeline that converted individualized client context into current, structured job opportunities and more consistent notifications. The system reduced repeated searching and duplicate review while preserving human judgment over which roles should reach each client.
